Get The Look - California Dreaming

As restrictions continue to limit global travel we look to food to fill our wanderlust - from fresh ingredients, new combinations and the latest trends we look to favourite restaurants and recipes to inspire us. Our 'Get the Look' series looks to do just that - continuing in California - with a look at Kali restaurant.

The Ambience

Taking a laid back and casual approach to fine dining. The restaurant has a neutral and minimalist, yet friendly neighbourhood vibe. The idea behind it was to 'create a high-end restaurant without pretension'. It does this by keeping the table tops uncluttered, mixing natural textures, simple styling and saving colour for on the plates.

The Food

A focus on ingredients, technique and a 'hyper-seasonal approach' keeps dishes fresh. Local California organic farms supply 90% of the menus ingredients. Example dishes include: Spring pea agnolotti, smoked beetroot tartare, Sonoma County Duck breast.

The Plates
From day one Kali restaurant has used Churchill plates - complementing its fresh ingredients, Stonecast was chosen to reflect a contemporary and casual feel. Get the Look with Stonecast Barley White and Duck Egg Blue.
